The green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) is a very special type of mussel that only lives in the pure and still unpolluted waters of New Zealand. Synofit does not use extracts from the green-lipped mussel but uses GLMax®, a unique stabilized liquid containing the whole and pure green-lipped mussel. As a result, all natural ingredients remain present including all omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA, DHA, ETA, ETE and DTA including the glycosamino glycans such as glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate. Unlike dried extracts and powders, Synofit does not use heating in our process, which is known to result in loss of effectiveness with various beneficial ingredients.
Curcumin is the principle active compound found in the plant curcuma longa and is the main ingredient of turmeric. This beautiful plant is part of the ginger family. Curcumin is a 100% bio-available compound from the turmeric root. In Asia, this plant has been used for ages for all kinds of applications. Turmeric has a tasty, soft-spicy taste, and is therefore still used in various Indian and Pakistani dishes, like curry.
During the early years of Synofit’s existence, the black currant leaf (Ribes nigrum) was not a major focus. The most striking ingredients of Synofit are GLMax® liquid green-lipped mussel and Bio-Curcumin BCM-95®. Despite being overshadowed, the black currant leaf was already an important ingredient of Synofit Premium's successful total formula in those early years.
In Synofit Premium Plus Liquid, a Boswellia extract with approximately 45% Boswellia acids has been added. Boswellic acids provide an additional anti-inflammatory effect. For the build-up treatment, which is usually used in the liquid form, this is an additional ingredient for faster satisfaction. No Boswellia has been added in the Synofit Premium Plus Capsules, partly because there was no more room for it in the capsule.
